Skin tight by Carl Hiaasen
Book Number:RC 30950
3 sound cassettes
A comedy of murders. Ex-state-investigator Mick Stranahan, the target of a
hit man, skewers the culprit with a stuffed marlin head. Plastic surgeon and
hirer of hit men, Dr. Rudy Graveline, is afraid Stranahan will expose
Graveline’s guilt in the death of a nose-job victim. A second assassin is
six-foot-nine "Chemo," who has a weed whacker attached to the stump of his
amputated arm. Strong language and descriptions of sex.
This is the second of Hiaasen's books for me the first was Basketcase, RC
53626. I liked it so much that I called my library and had Hiaasen put on
my author's list. I have included the link to his web site below. Another
review I read described him as the Mark Twain of the murder mystery. I
thought that summed his writing up perfectly. I am now starting on another
of his books, Native Tongue. I give this one a 5 out of 5. A funny, quirky
and all together enjoyable read.
happy reading,
